Editorial : About the AuthorGeorge Gallo is a screenwriter, film director, producer, painter and musician. He won the Arts for the Parks award in 1990, has had several one-man shows including three at Grand Central Art Galleries in New York City and has received numerous awards for both his painting and filmmaking. Local Color, which Gallo wrote and directed, is a feature film about an aspiring young artist who befriends an elderly Russian Master. Cindy Salaski is the author of Oil Painting With the Masters. Good book. The impressions combine to give a good picture of life in this curiously unspoiled place.
I have read 3 volumes in this National Geographic Discoveries series and have just ordered 3 more. (Which still does not excuse the absence of a sauerbraten recipe.)

The spaetzle recipe is just plain weird, though; it has you create the noodles with a teaspoon -- not a knife (which is how my husband's grandma did it; we have a dedicated spaetzle cutting board, which tells you the importance it holds here) or one of the specialized spaetzle-cutters my husband sneers at.

If you are shopping for a German cookbook, there are quite a few better options. I would not buy this book again. In my opinionhe is a chef. In this version, spelling and punctuation have been modernized, but the syntax is retained. He enjoyed the activities in this book. My ankle is healed and since I have been riding for the better part of forty-five years, it's not like I haven't been hurt on
