Editorial : A nice confidence booster for anyone eager to tackle home sewing, this volume guides even the novice sewer through all sorts of projects, including window treatments, bed linens, tableware, pillows, and seating. Beautiful photos and extensive step-by-step directions supported by helpful drawings and diagrams take the guesswork, and the fear, out of stitching up great-looking drapes, valances, dust ruffles, comforters, canopies, place mats, cushions, chair covers, and much more. The solid introductory section offers in-depth coverage of all the basic know-how, plus some nice extras for decorative embellishments. And the hardcover jacket disguises a smart spiral binding that keeps the book open flat while you follow the steps. --Amy Handy

Well, I got really disappointed I was not expecting a pro series book to be dump like this. This is a great series. I chose this book to learn on my own.

Greg's style was crisp and to the point. This is particularly the case with the last two sections which are focused on proposed solutions and future prospects. Some turn into hacking manuals, others turn into windy documents on documenting the process and why each piece of the process is important.

Network Security Assessment talks about the methodology of security assessments, the how of running nmap, for example with specific commands and a discussion of why. Sure, Linenger comes off as a "right stuff" astronaut: after all, you can't earn a series of degrees and succeed as a military officer, as a physician, and a spacefarer unless you have outstanding qualifications and high self confidence. The first is a look at MSFT hiring and interview processes, which is followed by a description of his time at Softimage
