Landscapes have for centuries captivated the imaginations of artists.  Indeed many of the most stunning works of art are in this genre.  For the amateur artist, however, the sheer scope of the landscape can seem daunting.  Following the pattern established in his highly successful companion volume on drawing portraits, Barrington Barber shows you that it is easier than it looks.  All you need is a willingness to abide a few simple rules and to take delight in exploring the myriad possibilities he presents. This book takes you through every aspect of this stimulating area of art in an informal yet informative style.  As well as finding practices and exercises among the 350 illustrations, you will discover examples to emulate and also to use for honing your skills.  Everything included in this book will add to the sum of your knowledge and understanding and so help make you a better artist.

Editorial : About the AuthorAfter training as a graphic designer, Barrington Barber went into advertising, working for top agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather, before progressing into freelance design and producing illustrations for a range of books and magazines.  Currently he combines teaching art with a successful career as a commercial illustrator and fine artist.  He has written several books, including The Fundamentals of Drawing and The Fundamentals of Drawing Portraits.

I also like that there are long and short rhymes, so that no matter how much time we have for story time, we can always squeeze in a rhyme or two. 5-Stars, great read!. Only band that matters!. Although I do not know how you'd go about actually coloring any of the 14 images included in the preview. Cal O Cal has become the master of sarcastic humour. Carol Ann gives us attractive sketches of biologists, knowledgeable guides, photographers dive masters, and old timers who really care about preserving the Galapagos. The book's approach on public speking is remarkably illuminating and at the sme time actionable. Nowhere in the listing did it say this book was for England. However, the author is still stuck in the rut where punk bands were held to ridiculous standards, many self imposed, and this comes across as snobbery. I enjoyed this warm and ultimately satisfying tale of a wise and intelligent heart in a very young woman, with guts beyond her years. I love Ingpen's work with Sterling I
