the Abulafia trilogy--also difficult reading & academic), it lacks a depth of Kabbalistic wisdom--except Appendix 2 with pithy information on a Lurianic ritual (strangely ignoring parallels with tzimtzum, shi'ur komah, & shemmittah). Jan Gonda provides a basic, understandable grammar that covers everything a first year student needs to know. Wonderful full colored piece. He writes with authority having devoted much of his working life to the poor in Washington DC through the work of Sojourners. A real eye opener on how plants work and how magic the world is. I finished it in about a half hour and then spent about a leisurely hour perusing the art. Just a great read about real entrepreneurs who had to struggle.. That meant that he and his family had a long legacy of working for the company. I've read many of the stories multiple times. We trust in our own decision-
