That's not really the case here. There are extensive superscripted notes, with explanations printed at the end of each chapter, helping to explain terminology that is unfamiliar to modern readers and give extra information.
In addition to the two narratives there are also two sections at the beginning of the book giving a little back story and telling how the narratives came into our modern era. So out of that we get MANOVA, Hotelling's T square, linear and quadratic discriminant analysis, principal component analysis, Wishart distributions and canonical correlations. You don't see those topics as chapters in this book. Tatsurou is also hilariously obstinate in his denial about loving the way Tatsurou makes him feel. great player, more important, great person.
