The politics, educational policies, and social values perpetuated by Christian fundamentalists are exposed in this critical perspective on the religious right's role in American society. Statistics and studies of the movement are offered that provide insight into the causes and characteristics of fundamentalism and its effects on minority groups including women, children, African Americans, gays, and lesbians. Essays from a variety of authors consider the path to theocracy, the effect of the theology of inerrancy on politics, and the state of fundamentalism in the United States after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

It is full of useful but usually tasteful detail on how people survive psychologically and relate to one another under prolonged isolation and confinement. This edition of The Jungle Book is going to be my daughter's literature book next year (3rd grade, 9 years old). This book did s great job fulfilling my goal for that teaching time.. My grand kids love to color and I find them coloring in my Adult Coloring books, I don't love that. Lots of basic information that can help anyone interested in working in the truck and transportation industry. Light and sweet, the book will appeal to fans of regency romance more than fantasy or mystery readers.

I received a copy of of A Devilish Slumber from the publisher and netgalley.com in exchange for an honest review.

--Crittermom. These 'fragments' are bombshells, exploding religious idols and making way for a whole new appreciation of the place of desire in our life with God.. I think American needs to take the time to read
